Families in Indian River County looking to embrace the winter season—without the freezing temperatures—are invited to a unique aquatic celebration later this month. The North Indian River County Aquatic Center in Sebastian is set to host the “Frosty Fun Fest,” a family-friendly event combining poolside entertainment with winter-themed competitions.
Scheduled for Saturday, January 24, 2026, the event offers residents and visitors a chance to enjoy the facility’s heated pool while participating in a variety of spirited activities. From movie screenings to slide races, the afternoon is designed to provide entertainment for all age groups.
Hosted by Indian River County Parks, Recreation, & Conservation, the Frosty Fun Fest runs from noon to 4 p.m., with proceeds directly benefiting aquatic center programs.
The festivities will center around a “Splash-in-movie” experience, featuring a screening of the animated favorite Happy Feet. Attendees can watch the film from the comfort of the water. In addition to the movie, the event will feature hot cocoa stations to keep guests warm, firetruck displays for children to explore, and a series of organized games on the pool deck and in the water.

- 12:00 p.m. — Splash-in-Movie: The event kicks off with the screening of Happy Feet, viewable from the heated pool.
- 2:00 p.m. — Polar Plunge Slide Races: Participants can test their speed sliding into the “polar pool.”
- 2:30 p.m. — Keepy Uppy: A group challenge to keep a giant beach ball from touching the water.
- 3:00 p.m. — Hula Hoop Contest: A test of balance and rhythm to see who can keep their hoop spinning the longest.
- 3:30 p.m. — Cannonball Championship: Swimmers can compete to make the biggest splash and top the leaderboard.
- 4:00 p.m. — Raffle Draw: The event concludes with prize drawings for ticket holders.
