Two premier Vero Beach estates were recently sold on the global stage as part of a historic auction event in New York City. Sotheby’s Concierge Auctions hosted its “Visions of America” sale, achieving more than $265 million in aggregate bids. The event, held at Sotheby’s headquarters in the iconic Breuer building on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, featured a curated collection of high-end real estate, art, and luxury objects intended to commemorate America’s upcoming 250th anniversary.
Among the highlights of the sale were two significant properties located in the immediate Indian River County area. Both estates were represented by local agents Cindy O’Dare and Richard Boga of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty. The auction attracted robust participation, with property connoisseurs from 15 U.S. states competing in person, online, and via telephone.

The “Visions of America” event was a “white-glove” sale, meaning 100 percent of the lots were sold. In addition to the Florida properties, the auction featured high-profile real estate in Virginia and Charleston, South Carolina. The event highlighted the strength of the luxury market, with a reported 55 percent increase above average starting bid prices across the board.
Chad Roffers, CEO of Sotheby’s Concierge Auctions, emphasized the success of the format and the partnership with the historic auction house.
“Our revolutionary auctions continue to set a new standard in the luxury real estate sector, amplified by our exclusivity with Sotheby’s—the global leader in art, luxury, and collectibles—a powerful distinction that highlights our dedication to excellence.”
Beyond the financial transactions, the sales will have a philanthropic impact. As part of the auction house’s Key For Key® giving program in partnership with Giveback Homes, the closing of these properties will result in funding toward building new homes for families in need. The auction was conducted by Sotheby’s auctioneer Meaghan Steele and livestreamed globally.
