Finding budget-friendly entertainment for children during the long summer break just got easier for families in Vero Beach and across the wider Treasure Coast. Several local bowling alleys have officially partnered with the national Kids Bowl Free program to offer complimentary games to local youth throughout the summer months.
Operating successfully since 2007, the Kids Bowl Free initiative collaborates with bowling centers across the United States, Canada, and U.S. military bases to provide a safe, secure, and fun recreational outlet for children.
Under the summer program, eligible children between the ages of 2 and 18 can enjoy two free games of bowling every single day.
For Indian River County residents, the primary participating location is Vero Bowl Lanes & Lounge. While active registration for the Vero Beach venue is not open just yet, parents are encouraged to visit the program’s website to sign up for notifications the moment availability begins. Similar early notification options are available for other participating Treasure Coast facilities.
Participating Treasure Coast Bowling Alleys:
- Vero Bowl Lanes & Lounge: Located at 929 14th Lane, Vero Beach. Parents can sign up online to be notified when registration officially opens.
- Jensen Beach Bowl: Located at 2303 N.E. Dixie Highway in Rio. Registration is currently open. Families can utilize their free games from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday, from April 20 through August 20. Additional days and times are expected to be added to the schedule in June.
- Stuart Bowl Lanes & Lounge: Located at 1638 S.E. Federal Highway, Stuart. Registration is not yet open, but notification sign-ups are available online.
- Saint Lucie Lanes: Located at 6759 U.S. 1, Port St. Lucie. Registration is not yet open, but notification sign-ups are currently available.
Families should note that not all regional bowling centers are taking part in the summer promotion. Bowlero in Port St. Lucie and Locals Lanes, a new duckpin bowling venue in Stuart, are not currently listed as Kids Bowl Free partners.
