Get ready for an exciting lineup of entertainment and community events in Vero Beach. Whether you are looking for family-friendly theater, live orchestral music, or a weekend food festival, the Indian River County area has something special to offer this June.

Disney’s Frozen at Riverside Theatre
Kicking off the cultural calendar, the young performers of Riverside Theatre Education are bringing a beloved tale to the stage. Directed by Kevin Quillinan, Disney’s Frozen runs from Thursday, June 18 through Saturday, June 27. The full-length Broadway musical adaptation follows the heartwarming journey of sisters Anna and Elsa as they discover the true meaning of courage, love, and self-discovery. Tickets are available for $20. Families can also opt for a pre-show dining experience for $32 per person, which includes kid-friendly meals, tax, and gratuity. Accompanying the production is Olaf’s Summer Bash, a free outdoor event at the Loop from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. featuring music, dancing, and special treats.

For adults seeking an evening out, Riverside Theatre’s Comedy Zone presents headliner Casey Peruski—known as the “nice guy” of comedy—and feature act Jim Moran on June 19 and June 20. Tickets for the comedy shows are $25, with early dining options available before the performances. The theater is located at 3250 Riverside Park Dr.

Big-Band Sounds with the Space Coast Symphony
If you are in the mood for classic swing, the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra is opening its 18th season right here in Vero Beach. On Sunday, June 21, at 3 p.m., the Emerson Center will host Sinatra and the Wonderful World of Oz. The concert elegantly bridges the music of The Wizard of Oz with a live recreation of a classic Sinatra performance at the Sands. Led by Andrew Cleaver and featuring vocalist Mark Romeo, the orchestra will perform timeless standards such as “Come Fly with Me,” “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” and “Fly Me to the Moon.”

The orchestra says the concert is meant to blend swing, nostalgia and orchestral energy in a setting built for live big-band sound.

Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. Admission is completely free for attendees 18 and under or those presenting a valid college ID. The Emerson Center is located at 1590 27th Ave.

Burgers and Brews Benefit
Food enthusiasts and community supporters will not want to miss the annual Burgers and Brews benefit for United Against Poverty. Taking place on Saturday, June 27, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Indian River County Fairgrounds, this bustling event promises a full day of entertainment. General admission is free, with proceeds from tasting cards directly supporting vital local services. Beer cards start at $20, slider tasting cards at $30, and combo cards at $50, with discounts available for advance purchases.

Attendees can look forward to a wide variety of activities:

  • The Best Burger in Indian River County competition
  • Craft breweries and food truck vendors
  • A classic car and Jeep Club show
  • Family-friendly attractions, including a kids’ zone and live music
  • Fun competitions like a pie-eating contest and flip cup games

Finding Nemo Kids at Vero Beach Theatre Guild
Finally, for a budget-friendly and delightful outing with young children, the Vero Beach Theatre Guild is presenting Finding Nemo Kids from June 19 to June 21. Aimed at grades 3 through 6, this 35-minute musical adaptation of the hit Pixar film follows the underwater adventures of Marlin, Dory, and Nemo. The brief runtime and recognizable characters make it a perfect, low-cost introduction to live theater for young audiences. Tickets start at $15. The guild is situated at 2020 San Juan Ave.
