Whether you are looking for an all-day street festival, a classic baseball game, or a waterfront parade, the region is packed with patriotic events on both July 3 and July 4.
From multi-day street festivals in downtown Vero Beach to patriotic boat parades in Fort Pierce, the Treasure Coast is offering a diverse array of community-focused Fourth of July celebrations featuring live music, local food, and grand fireworks displays.
Indian River County Celebrations
Locals in Vero Beach and Sebastian have two massive, all-day events to look forward to this Independence Day. In downtown Vero Beach, the community is culminating its protracted U.S.A. All Day celebration—a seven-day spread of events that initially launched in May—with the Pioneers to Paradise Parade. Festivities take place along Main Street at 2046 14th Avenue. The event is split into two main blocks, running from 10 a.m. to noon, and picking back up from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Attendees can enjoy a wide variety of activities, including:
- An Independence Day parade and antique car display.
- Birthday cake, art displays, and bounce houses for the family.
- Food trucks, live music, and various contests.
- A special veterans ceremony scheduled from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- A grand fireworks finale.
Just north of Vero Beach, the city of Sebastian is hosting its 55th annual Freedom Festival. This all-day extravaganza runs from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. The morning kicks off with a lively parade starting at the Sebastian Community Center and winding its way to Riverview Park, located at U.S. 1 and County Road 512. Throughout the day, festival-goers can participate in a Hula-Hoop contest, a balloon toss, and a karaoke competition, all while enjoying local vendors, food, and live music before the 9 p.m. fireworks show.
St. Lucie County Festivities
Neighboring St. Lucie County is offering a mix of sports, maritime traditions, and classic park festivals. On July 3, the St. Lucie Mets will host an Independence Day Celebration at Clover Park in Port St. Lucie. The baseball-themed festivities start early with a softball game at 1 p.m. and a homerun derby at 3:30 p.m. The main Mets game begins at 6:10 p.m. and will be followed by fireworks and a special auction featuring autographed jerseys.
On July 4, Port St. Lucie will also host Tradition’s Homegrown 4th of July Celebration from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Tradition Square, featuring live music, food, and fireworks.
In Fort Pierce, the waterfront will be bustling with patriotic pride. The Fort Pierce Yacht Club is hosting its 16th annual Patriotic Boat Parade at 11 a.m. Vessels decked out in red, white, and blue will gather at the Fort Pierce Turning Basin just north of the South Causeway Bridge at 10:30 a.m., communicating via Channel 81. Later in the evening, the Stars Over St. Lucie event takes over Fort Pierce Marina Square from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. A giant American flag will be proudly displayed along the waterfront, complementing an evening of food, drinks, and family fun, capped by a 9 p.m. fireworks display.
Martin County Events
For those venturing slightly further south, Martin County has two distinct community events. Palm City kicks off the holiday a day early on July 3 with the Farm Jam & Fireworks at Newfield Farm. Running from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., this rustic celebration features a local band, food trucks, lawn games, and a vibrant fireworks show.
On July 4, the city of Stuart hosts its fourth annual Independence Day celebration from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Riverwalk Stage and Flagler Park. The day begins with a unique golf cart parade at 10 a.m. and seamlessly transitions into a day of children’s activities, live music, food trucks, and a movie in the park, all concluding with fireworks at 9 p.m.
