For local high school graduates dreaming of a college degree without the heavy burden of student loans, the Indian River State College Foundation is offering a life-changing opportunity. Through the established Promise Program, thousands of students are being empowered to pursue higher education completely debt-free.
Funded by generous donations to the Indian River State College Foundation, the initiative is available to students across the district the college serves, including recently graduated seniors in Okeechobee County and the broader Treasure Coast region.
The scholarship covers two full years of in-state tuition for eligible 2026 graduates, or until an associate’s degree is complete.
The program prides itself on exceptional accessibility. Eligible applicants include 2026 graduates from public high schools, charter schools, approved private schools, and in-district homeschool programs. Most notably, the Promise Program breaks down traditional barriers to financial aid by entirely removing grade point average (GPA) and household income requirements.
Prospective students and their families must act quickly to secure this funding, as the deadline to submit an application is July 13.
