American Airlines is expanding its service at Vero Beach Regional Airport for the first time, adding a seasonal nonstop Saturday flight to Philadelphia from November 7 through April 3 aboard CRJ-900 regional jets.
This expansion marks a significant milestone for American Airlines’ local operations. Since the carrier originally launched its inaugural Vero Beach service on February 12, it has exclusively offered flights to Charlotte, North Carolina. Charlotte Douglas International Airport currently serves as the airline’s second-largest national hub behind Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.
The city-owned Vero Beach Regional Airport has experienced a substantial revitalization in commercial passenger service over recent years and is now home to three commercial carriers: American Airlines, Breeze Airways, and JetBlue. Local fares remain highly competitive, with flights starting as low as $41 on Breeze Airways, $134 on JetBlue, and $370 for American’s existing flight to Charlotte.
With the addition of the new Philadelphia route, travelers flying out of Vero Beach will now have direct, nonstop access to thirteen cities across seven different states. To give local travelers a complete picture of their current options, here is the updated roster of nonstop destinations available directly from Vero Beach:
