The Visiting Nurse Association of the Treasure Coast, based right here in Vero Beach, is celebrating a major professional milestone for three of its dedicated healthcare providers. Licensed Practical Nurses Janet Hill, Melissa Pooler-Sherrill, and Shawn Brecher have successfully completed specialized training to officially earn their IV Therapy Certifications.
This achievement provides a significant boost to the quality of home healthcare available to residents throughout Indian River County. With this newly acquired credential, these nurses are legally authorized under Florida law to administer a variety of intravenous therapies and medications directly to patients in their homes. This advanced capability means that local residents requiring IV treatments can avoid unnecessary trips to outpatient clinics or extended hospital stays, instead receiving safe, high-quality skilled nursing care in the comfort of their own residences.
