Vero Beach food enthusiasts have reason to celebrate as one of the barrier island’s most acclaimed dining establishments reopens its doors. Following a brief hiatus, The Tides has officially resumed its daily dinner service, welcoming patrons back to its historic Central Beach location.

Rather than relocating to South Beach as initially speculated last winter, Chef Leanne Kelleher opted to invest in a comprehensive two-month remodel of the current property at 3103 Cardinal Drive. Kelleher, who has masterfully guided the kitchen at The Tides for the past twenty-five years, listened closely to the impassioned pleas of her dedicated local clientele to keep the restaurant in its original home.

For those eagerly anticipating a visit to the newly refreshed space, here is what returning patrons and new guests can expect:

  • Preserved Ambiance: The vintage, intimate character of the beloved eatery remains fundamentally untouched, maintaining its status as a top-tier destination for fine dining.
  • Exquisite Menu Offerings: The kitchen continues to deliver five-star culinary experiences, with diners already raving about standout dishes like the perfectly prepared duck and the exceptional black snapper.
  • High Demand: The dining room is consistently sold out night after night, making advance reservations an absolute necessity.

It was a relief to find that while a number of visible and infrastructure upgrades had been made in the two months the restaurant was closed, its intimate character and personality had been perfectly preserved.

With a full bar, an excellent wine selection, and a steadfast commitment to exceptional service, The Tides proves that while the building may have received a necessary update, the pinnacle of fine dining in Vero Beach remains exactly where it belongs.
