The cultural landscape of Vero Beach is set to offer a unique convergence of visual and performing arts this winter, as two of the region’s premier institutions join forces for a special one-day event. Ballet Vero Beach has announced its return to the Vero Beach Museum of Art (VBMA) on Saturday, February 28, 2026, to present “Made in America,” a program designed to breathe life into the museum’s latest major exhibition.
This event marks a continued partnership between the dance company and the museum, offering residents and visitors a multi-sensory experience that goes beyond the traditional stage. By popular demand, the company has scheduled two separate performances for the day, taking place at 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
The “Made in America” dance series is directly inspired by the nationally touring exhibition, American Made: Paintings and Sculpture from the DeMell Jacobsen Collection, which will be on view at the VBMA from January 31 through June 7, 2026. The choreography aims to reflect the spirit, resilience, and innovation that has defined American art for over a century. Through original works, the dancers will interpret the themes and narratives captured in the paint and sculpture surrounding them, effectively creating a dialogue between movement and static imagery.
Katherine Eppink, a principal dancer, director of marketing, and choreographer for Ballet Vero Beach, highlighted the significance of the timing of this program, noting its connection to a major national milestone.
“We are delighted to return to Vero Beach Museum of Art this winter and commemorate our nation’s 250th birthday through a unique program that pairs the visual and performing arts. BVB’s partnership with the Museum is deeply rewarding, and we are gratified by the patrons who recognize our mutual efforts to inspire, nurture, and elevate the arts in our community.”
This collaboration offers exceptional value for arts enthusiasts in Indian River County. Tickets purchased for the ballet performance include general admission to the museum for the day. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to explore the galleries at their leisure. Additionally, ticket holders have the option to join a docent-led tour of the exhibition at 2:00 p.m., which fits perfectly into the schedule whether guests attend the noon or the afternoon performance.
