The cultural calendar in Vero Beach is heating up for the new year as Broadway talent touches down on the Treasure Coast. The cast for Riverside Theatre’s highly anticipated production of the Tony Award-winning musical, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder, has officially arrived in Indian River County.
On the afternoon of December 14, ten of the fifteen cast members landed at the Vero Beach Regional Airport on a direct flight from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York. Following their arrival, rehearsals commenced immediately on Monday, December 15. The team is now engaged in an intensive preparation period leading up to the show’s run on the Stark Stage, which begins in early January 2026.
A “Killer” Musical Comedy
Sponsored by Paul & Joanne Bourdeau, Bill & Eva Gurley, and Riverside Theatre’s Patron Producers, this production promises to bring professional-caliber wit and charm to local audiences. The musical is set in Edwardian England and tells the story of Monty Navarro, a lowly clerk who discovers he is ninth in line to inherit a massive family fortune and a title.
The delightfully wicked musical comedy—winner of four Tony® Awards including Best Musical—follows Monty Navarro… There’s just one small complication: eight eccentric D’Ysquith relatives must be removed—permanently—for Monty to succeed. What unfolds is a whirlwind of clever storytelling, razor-sharp humor, and deliciously murderous musical mischief.
Star-Studded Cast and Creative Team
Riverside Theatre continues to solidify its reputation as the largest professional producing non-profit theatre in Florida by attracting top-tier talent from New York and beyond.
