Fatal Fort Pierce Elks Lodge Shooting Kills One, Injures Two

Local authorities are investigating a tragic incident that occurred early Sunday morning in neighboring Fort Pierce, where a shooting at a local lodge left one man dead and two others injured. The violence broke out just south of Indian River County, drawing a heavy police response to the scene.

According to the Fort Pierce Police Department, officers received a 911 call reporting gunfire at approximately 12:46 a.m. on Sunday, February 15. The incident took place at the Elks Lodge located in the 1400 block of North 24th Street.

Upon arriving at the location, first responders discovered three adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. All three individuals were transported to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment.

Police reported that two of the victims are listed in stable condition. However, the third victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Officials have not yet released the name of the deceased pending notification of his next of kin.

The investigation is currently in its early stages, and detectives are working to establish the motive behind the shooting. As of Sunday morning, no information regarding potential suspects has been released.
