Law enforcement agencies on the Treasure Coast have successfully executed a major narcotics operation, resulting in a significant seizure of illegal drugs, weapons, and cash. A Fort Pierce man is now facing severe charges after a multi-agency drug bust took place on Wednesday morning.
Detectives from the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Division, working in conjunction with the agency’s SWAT Team and the U.S. Marshals Service, executed a narcotics-related search warrant at a residence located in the 700 block of Cedar Place in Fort Pierce. The morning operation led to the swift and peaceful arrest of 59-year-old Stacy Tyrner.
During the comprehensive search of the property, investigators uncovered a massive cache of contraband. Authorities seized approximately 33 pounds of marijuana and confiscated over $150,000 in illicit cash. Furthermore, the search yielded multiple firearms, alongside boxes of ammunition matching the specific calibers of the seized guns.
Detectives also discovered additional gun components, drug paraphernalia, packaging materials, and a currency counter. According to the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office, the accumulation of these items is heavily consistent with a large-scale narcotics sale and distribution operation.
Because Tyrner is a convicted felon, he is legally prohibited from possessing any firearms. Following the raid, he was taken into custody and charged with multiple offenses, including:
- Sale and delivery of a controlled substance (stemming from an active warrant arrest)
- Trafficking in marijuana
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
St. Lucie County Sheriff Richard Del Toro commended the collaborative efforts of the Special Investigations Division, the SWAT Team, and the U.S. Marshals Service for successfully removing illegal weapons, narcotics, and illicit cash from the local community.
“Drugs destroy lives and fuel crime, and we will not allow criminals to profit from that destruction. This is another step toward our goal of making St. Lucie County the safest county in Florida.”
