The Historic Arts District in downtown Vero Beach continues to be a vibrant hub for cultural expression as Gallery 14 announces the continuation of two distinct nature-inspired exhibitions through January 2026. Art enthusiasts and collectors are invited to explore the works of photographers and printmakers during a month-long celebration of the natural world.

The featured shows, Wings of the World: Photography by Mitch Clark and Encountering Nature: The Prints of John H.C. Davis, offer contrasting yet complementary artistic perspectives. To celebrate these installations, Gallery 14 will host a First Friday reception on January 2, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This event coincides with the popular downtown gallery stroll, allowing visitors to meet the artists and view the collections in a social setting.

In addition to the opening reception, the gallery has scheduled an educational opportunity for the community. On Saturday, January 10, at 1:00 p.m., John H.C. Davis will host an “Artist Talk.” This interactive session will delve into his background, inspirations, and the intricate technical processes behind his work. Refreshments will be served, and the gallery encourages lively discussion among attendees.

About the Featured Artists

John H.C. Davis, an award-winning printmaker born and raised in Puerto Rico, brings a unique artisan approach to his medium. His process is meticulous and hands-on.

He incorporates an artisan printmaking medium utilizing linoleum cuts. He designs the print, cuts the image and using black printing ink, hand pulls each image. After drying, each image is individually painted.

Mitch Clark offers a different visual narrative through the lens of a camera. Originally from New York City, Clark retired in 2019 after a successful career managing structural design for major corporations, including Union Camp Corporation and International Paper Corporation. Upon relocating to Florida, he dedicated his time to his true passion: photographing birds in their natural habitats.
