The Treasure Coast nightlife scene has just welcomed a vibrant new addition in Downtown Fort Pierce. The Harbor Cocktail Lounge has officially opened its doors on Avenue A, bringing a unique nautical-themed experience that combines high-end mixology with a relaxed, vintage atmosphere.
Located at 116 Avenue A, just west of the historic P.P. Cobb building, the new venue occupies the space formerly known as the Harmony Music Lounge. The establishment is designed to offer an “elevated experience,” aiming to stimulate all five senses through its decor, entertainment, and beverage selection.
“We offer an elevated experience. I think that I hit all five senses here,” said owner Natasha Mitchell regarding the lounge’s vibe.
A Family-Run Nautical Experience
The lounge is a family affair, owned by Natasha Mitchell, with support from her husband Matthew and their children. The venue’s theme is centered around “The Captain,” a caricature of Matthew, who is an avid angler and boater. This maritime inspiration permeates the menu and the decor, which features vintage-style couches and table games, creating a comfortable yet sophisticated environment.
The Mitchells’ daughter, Lainie, serves as one of the cocktail servers, while their sons assisted in the setup of the lounge. The family’s motto for the new venture sets the tone for patrons: “To the drinks that keep us anchored and the moments that set us free!”
Innovative Dining and Drinks
While The Harbor Cocktail Lounge focuses on specialty beverages—including cocktails, coffee, beer, wine, and mocktails—it has established a clever partnership for food service. Through a collaboration with Taco Dive, a popular local eatery, guests can order food directly from the lounge using a scannable QR code and have it delivered to their table.
The drink menu features creative concoctions inspired by the nautical theme, including:
Entertainment and Events
The Harbor is positioned not just as a place to drink, but as a hub for entertainment on the Treasure Coast. The venue plans to host a wide variety of events to keep the community engaged. Future plans include rotating musical artists, dueling pianos, and karaoke nights.
Beyond music, the lounge intends to host interactive events such as speed dating, comedy shows, mixology classes, and “sip & paint” nights.
Hours and Operations
The Harbor Cocktail Lounge is open six days a week, closed only on Tuesdays.
For residents of Vero Beach looking for a short drive south for a new entertainment experience, or locals in Fort Pierce seeking a fresh weekend spot, The Harbor offers a promising mix of relaxation and excitement.
