Commuters and travelers moving south through the Treasure Coast can proceed with their travel plans, as officials have cleared a major obstruction on the interstate. All southbound lanes on I-95 in Martin County have reopened following a severe crash that forced a complete closure of the highway earlier this afternoon.

The incident caused significant delays for drivers in the region, bringing traffic to a standstill while emergency responders worked to manage the scene. Florida 511 confirmed that the accident took place just before Mile Marker 90.

The crash occurred at approximately 1:50 p.m., and initial updates indicated that the roadway was completely blocked. Traffic cameras at the time captured images of all lanes obstructed, with congestion extending significantly down the highway.

Emergency crews remained on the scene to clear the wreckage and assist those involved in the collision. While the lanes are now open, motorists should continue to exercise caution as traffic flow normalizes in the area.
