The dining landscape of the Treasure Coast may soon welcome a major new addition, as the popular sports-bar chain Yard House has officially set its sights on Port St. Lucie. According to plans submitted to the city on January 7, the brand intends to open its first location in the region within the bustling Tradition community.

If the plans are approved, the new restaurant will be located in the Landing at Tradition plaza at 10928 S.W. Village Parkway. The proposed site is situated at the intersection of Southwest Tradition Parkway, directly next to the Olive Garden.

Yard House claims to offer “the world’s largest selection of draft beer,” bringing a massive variety of over 100 taps, including distinct House Beers, to the local market.

What to Expect: Menu and Atmosphere

Yard House is well-known for blending a high-energy sports bar environment with a classic rock soundtrack. The brand prides itself on hand-picking every song played in the restaurant. For sports fans, the venue typically serves as a hub for watching major events, including pro and college football, baseball, hockey, and basketball. Similar locations, such as the one in Palm Beach Gardens, utilize over 20 televisions to ensure guests never miss a play.

The menu is described as “elevated bar food,” offering a wide range of options beyond standard pub fare. Patrons can expect:

  • Signature Starters: Items like their famous chicken nachos.
  • Entrees: A selection of steaks, chops, fresh seafood, and chicken.
  • Casual Favorites: Street tacos, pizzas, sandwiches, and the BBQ bacon cheddar burger.
  • Drink Menu: Beyond the beer, the bar serves wine, martinis, margaritas, mules, old fashioneds, and mocktails.
  • The restaurant also provides a kids menu, gluten-sensitive options, and takeout platters.

    Expanding on the Treasure Coast

Founded in Long Beach, California, in 1996, Yard House has grown significantly across Florida. While there are currently nine locations in the state, this Tradition project would be the first to open on the Treasure Coast. Currently, the closest option for local residents is in Palm Beach Gardens at Downtown at the Gardens.

    Other notable Florida locations include:

  • Orlando: ICON Park on International Drive
  • Boca Raton: Mizner Park
  • Sunrise: Sawgrass Mills
  • Tampa: Water Street
  • Sarasota: University Town Center
  • As the proposal moves through the city’s approval process, this development marks another step in the rapid commercial growth of the Tradition area in Port St. Lucie.
