Music lovers and vinyl collectors in Vero Beach and across the Treasure Coast have a major reason to celebrate this spring. Record Store Day 2026 is officially set for April 18, bringing highly anticipated, exclusive vinyl releases to our local independent music shops.

Conceived in 2007, Record Store Day is an international celebration of the unique culture surrounding independently owned record stores. With over 350 special releases slated for this year—including brand new tracks and rare reissues—fans will have plenty of crates to flip through. To keep the spirit of the day authentic and fair for the local community, participating stores cannot accept holds, are strictly prohibited from overpricing the special releases, and cannot sell these exclusive items online until the following day.

The 2026 Record Store Day Ambassador

The tradition of naming a Record Store Day ambassador began in 2009 to highlight the vital connection between recording artists and local music shops. Following in the footsteps of previous ambassadors like Taylor Swift, Ozzy Osbourne, and Pearl Jam, the 2026 ambassador is global superstar Bruno Mars.

“Independent record stores are so important because you get the chance to immerse and surround yourself with music and that’s why I’m so excited to be this year’s Record Store Day ambassador. I love collecting vinyl because nothing is better than sitting on your couch putting on a record and just listening to music like that. It feels like a lost art. To actually sit down, put a record on, and consume it is a very romantic idea. Go out and support your local independent record store on Record Store Day this year.”

Highly Anticipated Exclusive Releases

Whether you are hunting for classic rock royalty, modern pop hits, or indie darlings, the 2026 lineup is packed with massive names offering unique pressings. A selection of notable artists dropping special releases includes:

  • Taylor Swift
  • Bruno Mars
  • KATSEYE
  • Charli XCX
  • Elton John
  • The Rolling Stones
  • Pink Floyd
  • Fall Out Boy
  • Paramore
  • Grateful Dead
