Local music enthusiasts and fans of the legendary jazz-rock fusion duo Donald Fagen and Walter Becker are in for a nostalgic evening this March. The Emerson Center in Vero Beach is set to host The Steely Dan Project, a 12-piece ensemble dedicated to faithfully recreating the sophisticated sound of Steely Dan.

This concert, produced by MusicWorks, will take place on Thursday, March 12 at 7 p.m. The event promises to transport the audience back to the golden age of the 1970s, featuring a setlist packed with timeless hits and deep album cuts.

The Steely Dan Project brings classics like Reelin’ in the Years, Do It Again, Peg, and Rikki Don’t Lose That Number to life with incredible energy and precision. They channel the cool, laid-back vibe of Fagen, while the killer horn section, tight rhythm grooves, and soaring guitar solos create a sound so true to the original, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to a live Steely Dan show.

Based in South Florida, the tribute band consists of musicians with decades of international touring and recording experience. Their goal is to capture the complex arrangements and sonic perfection that Steely Dan is known for, offering what many have described as “A Tribute Like No Other.”
