The Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) has officially released the regional brackets for the 2025-26 girls’ soccer postseason, confirming that seven teams from the Treasure Coast, including Vero Beach High School, have advanced in their pursuit of a state championship. Following months of regular-season play and district tournament competition, the field has been narrowed down for the road to the state finals in Auburndale and DeLand.
The advancing teams representing the region include Jensen Beach, Martin County, Master’s Academy, Pine School, South Fork, St. Edward’s, and Vero Beach. While some enter as district champions, others secured at-large berths to keep their seasons alive.
Vero Beach Faces Familiar Foe in Region 2-7A
In Class 7A, Vero Beach High School enters the regional quarterfinals as the No. 7 seed. They face a daunting but familiar challenge, traveling to play the No. 2 seed, Jupiter High School. This matchup marks the third time the two programs have met this season. Jupiter narrowly edged out Vero Beach by a single goal in their previous two contests, including a tight 1-0 result in the District 8-7A Final.
As a Class 7A school, Vero Beach’s regional quarterfinal match is scheduled to kick off during the later window of the week, set for Thursday, Feb. 5, or Friday, Feb. 6. The goal for 7A schools is to reach the final four at the state championships in DeLand.
Indian River County Representatives in Region 2-1A
Indian River County is also well-represented in the Class 1A bracket, with two local programs hitting the road for their playoff openers.
- St. Edward’s School: Entering as the No. 6 seed after falling to Pine School in the District 8-1A Final, the Pirates will travel to Lakeland to face the No. 3 seed, Victory Christian Academy.
- Master’s Academy: The Patriots secured the No. 4 seed in their region. Despite the higher seeding, they will be traveling west for a 4-5 matchup against No. 5 Seffner Christian Academy.
Regional quarterfinals for Class 1A through 3A schools begin earlier in the week, with matches slated for Monday, Feb. 2, and Tuesday, Feb. 3. These teams are vying for a spot in the state championships held in Auburndale.
Regional Highlights Across the Treasure Coast
Beyond Indian River County, neighboring Martin County schools saw significant success. Martin County High School captured its first district title in nine years, securing the No. 2 seed in Region 4-6A. Boasting the area’s best record, the Tigers earned home-field advantage for the first two rounds, starting with a match against No. 7 Fort Lauderdale.
In Region 4-5A, South Fork repeated as district champions after shutting out Jensen Beach. The Bulldogs enter regionals as the No. 4 seed and will host No. 5 Dr. Joaquin Garcia. Meanwhile, Jensen Beach, seeded No. 6, will travel south to face No. 3 Pembroke Pines Charter.
Finally, The Pine School continues its strong form in Region 2-1A. Coming off a state runner-up finish last year and back-to-back district titles, the Knights are the No. 2 seed and will host No. 7 Orangewood Christian.
