Travelers in Indian River County have more reasons to celebrate as Vero Beach Regional Airport continues to expand its commercial flight offerings. What was once a quiet hub is rapidly becoming a convenient gateway to the Northeast and beyond, thanks to the addition of major carriers and new routes scheduled to launch throughout the coming months.

According to the latest route maps and flight announcements, the airport is welcoming new service from industry giants JetBlue and American Airlines, alongside a route expansion from the popular low-cost carrier, Breeze Airways.

Vero Beach Regional Airport is set to host daily nonstop service from JetBlue beginning December 11, connecting locals directly to Boston Logan International Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.

The updated flight schedule offers significantly more connectivity for Treasure Coast residents who previously had to drive to Orlando or West Palm Beach for these specific routes. The timeline for the new and expanded services is as follows:

  • December 11: JetBlue launches its daily service to Boston and New York (JFK).
  • February 12: American Airlines will commence service connecting Vero Beach to Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina.
  • May 6: Breeze Airways will begin a new seasonal nonstop service between Vero Beach and Raleigh, North Carolina.

Breeze Airways, which helped revitalize commercial passenger service at the Vero Beach airport in 2023, continues to be a staple for local travelers. In addition to the upcoming Raleigh route, Breeze airplanes depart daily, heading to established destinations in Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington, D.C. This continued growth signals a robust future for local travel and tourism in Vero Beach.
