- Enhanced Shaded Walkways: Recognizing the intensity of the Florida sun, the airport has installed specialized shade structures for both arrivals and departures. These structures boast a 90-percent-plus UV rating to keep passengers cool and protected.
- Redesigned Baggage Claim: The outdoor baggage claim area now features dedicated shaded seating, allowing travelers to comfortably rest on benches while waiting for their luggage to arrive at the gate.
- Relaxing Turf Patio: A brand-new outdoor turf space outfitted with patio furniture offers a laid-back, resort-style setting for passengers.

Despite the recent news that JetBlue has discontinued its direct route from Vero Beach to New York’s JFK airport, airport leadership remains highly optimistic about the facility’s trajectory. Discussions are reportedly underway for potential new services, including flights with Breeze Airways to Pittsburgh and American Airlines to Philadelphia.
