The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office has released the arrest and booking report for December 17, 2025. This daily blotter outlines recent felony arrests made within the county, involving two Vero Beach residents facing various charges ranging from property crimes to identity fraud involving vulnerable victims.
Robert Jaqaurie Mathis, a 22-year-old resident of the 1500 block of Old Dixie Highway in Vero Beach, was taken into custody on property-related felonies. He is currently being held on an $11,000 bond. Mathis faces the following charges:
- Grand theft
- Two counts of burglary of an unoccupied structure while unarmed
Robert Malcolm White, 41, of the 5800 block of 22nd Street in Vero Beach, was booked on serious fraud charges. His bond has been set significantly higher at $65,000. The allegations against White involve the exploitation of personal identification information. His specific charges include:
- Criminal use of personal identification information belonging to a person under 18 years of age or 60 years of age or older
- Fraudulent use of a credit card
- Obtaining property by false personation
