The Treasure Coast is gearing up for a thrilling weekend as the Hurricane Alley Blowout brings two action-packed nights of bull riding, ranch bronc riding, and live country music to Vero Beach. Scheduled for September 4 and September 5, the event will take place at the recently opened Overpass Arena, located at 300 90th Avenue, conveniently situated just west of Interstate 95 between Oslo Road and State Road 60.
The Hurricane Alley Blowout rodeo serves as the third stop in the 6th Avenue Jewelers Luxury Watch Series, featuring high-stakes riding events, a futurity calf showcase, and live entertainment at Vero Beach’s premier new agricultural venue.
Opened last November by John and Rochelle Englehart, owners of J&R Land & Cattle, Overpass Arena boasts a purpose-built 115-by-150-foot clay arena designed to deliver an authentic and immersive rodeo experience. Far from a backyard setup, the venue features a three-level VIP saloon overlooking the grounds with a capacity for 450 guests, dedicated VIP bleachers, general admission tables, and an array of approximately 15 food truck vendors to cater to local attendees.
The two-day Hurricane Alley Blowout offers a comprehensive schedule for Indian River County residents and visitors alike:
- Friday, September 4: Gates open to the public at 5:00 p.m., with the professional rodeo action officially kicking off at 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday, September 5: Gates open early at 3:00 p.m. Texas native and country musician Colby Lee Swift, joined by special guest James Holler, will perform live from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The rodeo begins at 7:00 p.m., followed by an additional live musical performance by Swift.
General admission tickets are priced at $35, while VIP access is available for $75. Local organizers already have ambitious plans for the new venue’s future, with expansions slated to begin in January. The upcoming project will add two additional three-level VIP bars and a massive 30-acre parking lot to accommodate the growing Treasure Coast crowds.
