The Vero Beach Police Department is turning to the public for assistance in identifying two suspects accused of installing a skimming device at a local bank ATM. Authorities released surveillance images shortly after the incident, hoping that community members might recognize the individuals captured on video.
The incident occurred at the TD Bank located at 4100 20th Street. The branch is situated in a busy commercial corridor, specifically east of 43rd Avenue and just south of the historic Jackie Robinson Training Complex. According to police reports, the two men were recorded by security cameras around 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18.
Investigators observed the suspects tampering with the machine in the late evening hours.
“The footage showed the subjects placing the device in the cash-retrieval area. No suspect vehicle information is available at this time,” stated Vero Beach police officers regarding the ongoing investigation.
Authorities have provided detailed physical descriptions of the two men, both described as white males in their mid-30s, standing approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall. The suspects have distinct physical traits and clothing that police hope will lead to an identification:
