Vero Beach High School standout quarterback Wonderful “Champ” Monds IV has officially secured Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) representation with one of the most recognizable agencies in professional football. Rosenhaus Sports, the Miami Beach-based firm founded by veteran NFL agent Drew Rosenhaus, announced the partnership across its official social media platforms on Friday, April 10.

Monds, currently a three-star quarterback in the Class of 2027, has drawn immense collegiate interest. Prior to reclassifying in January, he was ranked as the nation’s top quarterback prospect for the Class of 2028. His impressive athletic resume has already generated 34 college scholarship offers.

Top collegiate programs pursuing the Vero Beach talent include:

  • Alabama
  • Auburn
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Ohio State

The agreement reflects a major shift in the Florida high school sports landscape. While NIL regulations allowed college athletes to profit from their personal brands starting in 2021, the legal framework was officially adopted for Florida high school athletes during the 2024-2025 season. Recognizing this shift, Rosenhaus Sports—which boasts an expansive roster of NFL superstars including Tyreek Hill, Rob Gronkowski, and Antonio Brown—has begun expanding its representation to younger athletes. Earlier in 2026, the agency announced it would represent several other elite Florida high school players, signaling a growing trend of high-level sports marketing trickling down to the prep level.

Locally, Monds was a central storyline during Vero Beach football’s historic run to the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Class 7A state championship game in 2025. The sophomore faced significant adversity early on, suffering an ankle injury during the regular season opener that sidelined him until the first round of the regional playoffs. Following a secondary injury during a second-round victory over Lake Nona, teammate and Florida State signee Efrem “EJ White” seamlessly transitioned from wide receiver to quarterback, stepping up as one of the state’s top offensive weapons to lead the Fighting Indians on a 14-game winning streak.

Monds made his return to the gridiron for the state championship matchup against Lake Mary, held at Florida International University’s Pitbull Stadium in Miami. Despite a heartbreaking 28-27 loss, the young quarterback delivered a strong performance on the state’s biggest stage, completing 10 of 20 passes for 189 yards and tossing two explosive first-half touchdowns.

Rosenhaus Sports officially expands its high school NIL roster by signing Vero Beach High School quarterback Champ Monds IV, a highly recruited Class of 2027 prospect who recently helped lead the Fighting Indians to a resilient 2025 state championship appearance.
