The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office has released the arrest and booking report for February 9, detailing several felony charges and custodial intakes within the Vero Beach area. The latest blotter includes significant arrests related to narcotics distribution, domestic violence, and animal welfare violations.

Patrick Wassner Desmond, 41, of the 1300 block of 26th Avenue in Vero Beach, was arrested and is currently being held on a substantial bond set at $260,000. Desmond faces multiple serious drug-related charges, including:

  • Two counts of selling methamphetamine.
  • Two counts of possession of methamphetamine.
  • Two counts of unlawful use of a two-way communications device.
  • Tredesmond Eugene Tomlin, 32, residing in the 1800 block of Woodland Circle, Vero Beach, was taken into custody on violent felony charges. He is being held on a $30,000 bond. His charges include:

  • Battery by strangulation.
  • Tampering with a victim.
  • Robbery by sudden snatching.
  • Criminal mischief involving damages of $1,000 or more.
  • Tabitha Jo Oakley Wheelus, 52, of the 5400 block of 45th Street, Vero Beach, faces a mix of charges involving controlled substances and animal cruelty. Her status indicated a scheduled release for February 13. Her booking charges are listed as:

  • Possession of a controlled substance.
  • Smuggling contraband or a controlled substance into a county detention facility.
  • Abandonment of an animal.
  • Impounding or confining an animal without sufficient food or water.
  • Eric Jean Jeanneau, 62, of the 4700 block of 47th Court, Vero Beach, was arrested on charges involving public disturbance and fraud. He is being held on a $2,000 bond. Jeanneau has been charged with:

  • Defrauding an innkeeper.
  • Resisting an officer without violence.
  • Making an intentional threat to do violence.
  • Disturbing the peace.
