The Treasure Coast dining scene is welcoming a highly anticipated addition this spring as a popular Sebastian-based establishment expands its footprint southward. Erin’s Irish Pub is officially set to open a brand-new location on Fort Pierce South Beach, bringing hearty comfort food, classic spirits, and a touch of Irish hospitality to the local waterfront.
Situated near the picturesque Jetty Park at 2025 Seaway Drive, the new pub will occupy the space formerly held by Island Burger & Shake. The previous establishment permanently closed its doors earlier in April after owner Taylor Shull shared that his intensive treatment for throat cancer had become increasingly severe. Despite the closure, Shull remains a vital part of the local restaurant community, continuing to operate his other popular ventures, including the nearby Hutchinson Island Bar & Grille and Island Pig & Fish, which recently relocated to Tradition in Port St. Lucie.
For those familiar with local real estate and dining history, the Seaway Drive address holds a legacy of beloved Treasure Coast hotspots. Before Island Burger & Shake took over, the building was home to a Taco Dive location, and long-time residents will fondly remember it as the original site of Theo Thudpucker’s Raw Bar & Seafood Restaurant.
The driving force behind this new Fort Pierce venture is owner Chuck Bradford. Bradford initially purchased J.J. Manning’s Irish Pub in Sebastian in 2025, successfully rebranding it as Erin’s Irish Pub in early 2026. Building on the enthusiastic reception of his Indian River County location, Bradford is bringing an extensive, all-day menu to Hutchinson Island. Patrons can look forward to:
- A robust breakfast selection, featuring full traditional Irish breakfasts, omelets, and a signature steak and egg “hangover cure” sandwich.
- Classic lunch and dinner staples, ranging from corned beef brisket and whole belly clams to traditional Reuben sandwiches and Irish nachos.
- A wide variety of beverages, including milkshakes, beer, wine, and wine-based spirits like the signature “Bloody Erin.”
- Highly anticipated weekly “steak and potato” nights, showcasing premium 12- to 14-ounce New York strip steaks.
Beyond the diverse menu, Bradford is introducing a highly unique and convenient perk for local patrons: a complimentary golf-cart service designed to provide easy pickup, drop-off, and food delivery for customers relaxing anywhere on Hutchinson Island. Comparing the fun transit service to a neighborhood ice cream truck, Bradford noted that patrons will know their ride is nearby when they hear a very distinct and culturally appropriate sound.
“I’ll be like the ice cream man, but picking people up from the bar. If you hear bagpipes, jump in.”
Erin’s Irish Pub in Fort Pierce is officially slated to open its doors on May 1, 2026. Following the grand opening, the establishment will welcome guests from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, remaining closed on Sundays and Mondays. Whether you are a local resident looking for a new dinner spot or a beachgoer craving a hearty meal after a day in the sun, this new Hutchinson Island pub promises to be a vibrant and welcoming community staple.
