Vero Beach residents and Treasure Coast nightlife enthusiasts have a great reason to celebrate as live stand-up comedy returns to one of the area’s premier cultural venues. Riverside Theatre has officially announced the highly anticipated return of The Comedy Zone, bringing weekends filled with laughter, professional entertainment, and an engaging social atmosphere back to the heart of Indian River County.

The Comedy Zone resumes its popular weekend performances on the Waxlax Stage at Riverside Theatre starting April 24 and 25, offering audiences a premier cabaret-style comedy experience complete with nationally touring comedians, curated dining, and no drink minimums.

Beginning the final weekend of April, the Waxlax Stage will once again transform into an intimate comedy club setting. Known for drawing both nationally touring acts and top-tier regional comedic talent, The Comedy Zone has cemented itself as a staple of Vero Beach’s vibrant entertainment and nightlife lineup. Audiences can look forward to two nightly performances, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., ensuring flexible options for date nights, group celebrations, or a casual evening out.

The overall experience extends well beyond the punchlines. Riverside Theatre ensures a relaxed and welcoming environment by offering a curated dining menu crafted by Executive Chef Sue Torres. Patrons can also take advantage of a full bar, the convenience of free parking, and a notable perk for traditional comedy clubs: absolutely no drink minimums.

The season officially kicks off on April 24 and 25 with featured comedians Peter Fogle and Sheena Reagan. Fogle brings an impressive resume to the Treasure Coast, having worked on more than two dozen television shows and numerous stages over his thirty-year career. Joining him is Reagan, who has been named Florida’s Funniest Female and is a regular crowd favorite at local high-profile comedy events.

Following the April launch, The Comedy Zone will continue to deliver robust lineups throughout May. The May schedule features a diverse array of comedic styles, ensuring fresh laughs for returning guests:

  • May 1 and 2: Joe Latham, whose background includes developing comedy scripts and television shows for MTV and the BBC in Europe, shares the stage with Central Florida native Rashad Baker, known for his hilarious and vivid storytelling.
  • May 8 and 9: True entertainer Peter Sers brings his highly relatable and likable stage presence alongside Carin Chapman, a high-energy comic based out of New Orleans.
  • May 22 and 23: Greg Hall, famously praised by The Tennessean as perhaps the best guitar player in comedy, will perform with C.P. Post, a veteran of New York, Las Vegas, and numerous Florida venues.
  • May 29 and 30: Cris Machado explores the humor in his past relationships, pairing up with Devin Papayiannis, whose set promises a heavy dose of sarcasm, dad jokes, and questionable life choices.

The laughter will continue through the summer, as Riverside Theatre has slated additional Comedy Zone dates for select Fridays and Saturdays running all the way through September, including a special show celebrating veterans on July 2 and 3.

Tickets for these events remain highly accessible, priced at $25 for premium table seating and $15 for side seats. As Riverside Theatre continues to expand its nightlife programming, this returning favorite signals a vibrant season ahead for the local arts scene.
