In a heartwarming tribute to decades of dedicated service, VNA Hidden Treasures in Vero Beach has officially unveiled a special new boutique section dedicated to a beloved community leader. The newly christened Carol’s Corner honors long-time supporter and VNA & Hospice Foundation Board Member, Carol Kanarek, celebrating her profound impact on local hospice care and community initiatives.
The idea to dedicate this specialized boutique space was proposed by VNA co-founder Ann Marie McCrystal. Kanarek has been a driving force within the local organization for many years, most notably playing an instrumental role in bringing the very concept of a VNA-benefiting thrift shop to life for Indian River County residents.
“Carol has given so much to the VNA, and this was a wonderful way to honor her.”
For those living in or visiting Vero Beach, shopping at VNA Hidden Treasures is more than just a hunt for unique finds; it is a direct investment in compassionate community health. The thrift shop serves several vital roles across the Treasure Coast region:
- Providing Essential Funding: All proceeds generated directly support VNA Hospice, ensuring critical care, dignity, and comfort for local patients and their families during difficult times.
- Encouraging Sustainable Giving: The store offers a convenient, impactful way for Indian River County residents to donate gently used household goods and clothing.
- Creating a Community Hub: It provides a welcoming environment for locals to shop for quality items while actively supporting vital health programs.
The addition of Carol’s Corner not only elevates the shopping experience by highlighting premium boutique items but also stands as a permanent testament to the power of volunteerism and visionary leadership in Vero Beach.
