Get ready, Vero Beach! The culinary landscape of our beautiful coastal town is about to be transformed with an exciting new 27,000-square-foot dining destination. Nestled along the vibrant South A1A corridor, Windward Restaurant Concepts is introducing three distinct and eagerly anticipated venues this fall. Spearheaded by Vero Beach native Anthony DeChellis and internationally acclaimed, Michelin-experienced Chef Sebastian La Rocca, this trio of epicurean delights promises to bring a fresh, vibrant flair to the Treasure Coast.
The crown jewel of this highly anticipated debut is The Blu Fin, an exquisite fine-dining restaurant that seamlessly blends Mediterranean cuisine with passionate Latin inspiration. Spanning 3,000 square feet with an intimate 78-seat arrangement encompassing both indoor and outdoor spaces, this seafood-centric haven officially opens its doors on Tuesday, October 13.
Diners can expect a magnificent menu that honors both the ocean and local agriculture. Standout seafood offerings at The Blu Fin include:
- Cured Red Snapper served with an ajo blanco and Granny Smith apple vinaigrette, complete with toasted buckwheat and shaved truffle.
- Olive Oil-Poached Lobster accompanied by a refreshing lettuce gazpacho and charred yellow corn and cucumber salsa.
- Octopus Tonnato, an imaginative twist on an Italian classic featuring confit tuna sauce, caperberries, and pickled shrimp.
- Grouper Roasted on Cedar Wood Plank, luxuriously paired with Champagne clams, sea asparagus, and sunchokes.
For those craving turf over surf, Chef La Rocca does not disappoint. The menu features an El Secreto Iberic Pork with Oaxaca mole, as well as a nostalgic nod to Vero Beach’s rich history: Charley’s Steak. Inspired by the iconic 1970s local favorite, Charlie Brown’s, this Black Angus New York steak is served tableside under a cloche alongside a giant lump crab fricassee, creating an interactive and memorable dining experience.
Chef La Rocca is dedicated to letting seasonal ingredients shine, partnering closely with local fishermen, farmers, and regional suppliers.
“We want The Blu Fin to be a restaurant people come back to again and again, whether they’re celebrating something big or out for a relaxing weeknight dinner. Our Mediterranean and Latin flavors reflect my Argentine upbringing, Italian roots in Puglia and nine years living in Costa Rica and traveling throughout Central America. But great food is only one part of great hospitality. The energy in the room, the welcome and the details all matter. We want guests to leave already thinking about when they’re coming back.”
Following the launch of The Blu Fin, the complex will soon unveil two additional concepts to round out the local footprint:
- Turtle Cove Gourmet Market: A nearly 3,000-square-foot culinary paradise offering house-made fresh pastas, prime seafood, pastries, coffee, and gourmet prepared meals to enjoy at home. For those wanting to linger, a beautiful terrace will offer seating for 28 guests.
- The Motley Cow: Perfect for a breezy Florida afternoon, this elevated casual concept features a massive palapa palm-frond roof and a dedicated tiki bar. With a menu driven by an artisanal Mibrasa enclosed charcoal oven, guests can enjoy smoky, live-fire seafood dishes, creative cocktails, and great music from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Whether you are planning an unforgettable celebratory night out, seeking a lively afternoon under a tiki hut, or looking to pick up artisanal ingredients for your own kitchen, this new Vero Beach hub offers something extraordinary. All three venues are located at 916 Turtle Cove Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32963. Reservations for The Blu Fin are highly recommended, with walk-ins accommodated when availability permits. Prepare your palate for a delicious new season on the Treasure Coast!
